Let's Decrease Syphilis Together!

This year, Schenectady County Public Health Services secured a grant from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) in partnership with Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop a plan to reduce syphilis through engaging and gathering input from the community served. The end goal is to create a plan that could be put into place to decrease syphilis in Schenectady.

THE PLAN

Establish Schenectady Decreasing Syphilis Coalition that includes community partners

Host Community Conversations to gain input from the community on addressing syphilis in Schenectady

A syphilis reduction plan will be created based on coalition and community feedback

Evaluation of project activities with guidance from NACCHO and CDC
