Schenectady County Public Library's nine neighborhood branches are warm and welcoming spaces that encourage and inspire the quest for lifelong learning, exploration, and innovation.

Since 2010, the Schenectady County Legislature has invested millions of dollars to ensure each branch is accessible to all in the community. Many branch libraries, including the Hon. Karen Bradley Central Branch's new children's wing and the Phyllis Bornt and Mont Pleasant branches, have undergone renovations to improve their facilities. Additionally, in 2022 the Scotia branch opened a brand-new addition to better serve the community. In 2023, the County will invest an additional $1.7 million to continue to redesign and transform the library system.
