Our mission is to prevent substance abuse and to promote positive mental health. The Schenectady County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition was created by the Schenectady County Legislature, comprising of department leaders, community agencies, and concerned community members. The coalition maintains a Facebook page to keep the general community informed, provides presentations, works with community-based coalitions, and distributes resource materials throughout the county. Coalition staff are available to consult with and to collaborate with all residents of the County.
Do you, a loved one, colleague, friend, or neighbor struggle with opioid use disorder? Schenectady County Public Health Services can help educate and train you and the community on opioid overdose prevention, including the use of Naloxon.
