Schenectady County Recycling Initiatives

Schenectady County is dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing waste across the county.  Recycling is an easy and convenience way to keep various materials, such as food scraps, paper, cardboard, plastics, paint, and electronics out of local landfills. By diverting recyclable and compostable materials from landfills and waterways and properly disposing of household hazardous waste, you can help conserve natural resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect our soil, and keep our water clean and safe.
