Bulk Item Recycling

Refrigerator
Increased recycling has a positive impact on the environment. Bulk item recycling reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators, conserves natural resources such as timber, water, raw metals, and minerals, prevents pollution, and reduces greenhouse emissions by reducing the need to mine and process new raw materials.

What is bulk item recycling?

A bulk item is something that is too large to fit into a recycling bin or bag. The Schenectady County Soil and Conservation District provides residents with a safe and affordable way to recycle many bulk items.
