Veterans' Ceremonies in Schenectady County

Schenectady County is home to over 7,200 veterans who served our country with honor and distinction. We are proud to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans, especially those who call Schenectady County home. We invite residents to join Schenectady County in commemorating these important days of honor and remembrance.

 

Veterans Day - November 11, 2024

Veterans Day provides an opportunity to recognize the selfless and courageous individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Many Veterans Service Organizations and municipalities host special ceremonies on Veterans Day to honor all veterans.

Vietnam Veterans Day - March 29, 2025

In honor of the brave individuals who served during Vietnam, Schenectady County observes Vietnam Veterans Day with a dedicated ceremony at the Schenectady County Vietnam Veterans Memorial located at SUNY Schenectady.

Memorial Day - May 26, 2025

Memorial Day is a solemn occasion to remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in defense of our country. Many Schenectady County communities and Veterans Organizations host special ceremonies and parades to commemorate Memorial Day and remember the legacy of those individuals who made the supreme sacrifice in service to our nation.
