Caregiver Support Services

Caregivers play a crucial role in the lives of aging friends and family. Whether providing daily or routine care and assistance, offering emotional support, helping to manage a chronic disease or disability, or simply being a companion, a caregiver provides comfort and compassionate care to friends and loved ones. Caregivers also share in daily activities like shopping, paying bills, running errands, and providing transportation.

When you find it hard to care for a family member or friend due to aging or illness, or you and your loved one are facing the challenges to remain independent in your home or apartment, Schenectady County's Senior and Long Term Care Caregiving Support Services Program may be able to help.
