The Schenectady County Summer Youth Employment Program is a unique opportunity to gain six weeks of meaningful, on-the-job training during the summer. Youth selected for the program will be permitted to work for 20 hours per week earning minimum wage through Schenectady County Connects (Job Training Agency-SJTA).
Eligibility Requirements:
Most of the funding is for youth from families that get TANF (public assistance), SNAP, or have a household income that is no more than twice the federal poverty level.

Schenectady County Connects offers year-round youth employment opportunities to eligible youth 14-24 whose family receives TANF (public assistance), SNAP, or total household income does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty line.
