Thursday Schenectady Farmers’ Market
The weekday Schenectady Farmers’ Market, which is held outside of Schenectady City Hall on Thursdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm, is open for the 2021 market season. Plenty of on-street parking is available, and free parking is available next to City Hall in the lot between Franklin and Liberty streets. Credit, debit and SNAP benefits are accepted.
Early-season produce and plants available include salad greens, spinach, radishes, rhubarb, asparagus, flowering baskets, bedding plants, flowers, and vegetable seedlings for the home gardener. Also on sale is chicken, pork, beef, eggs, honey and a variety of baked goods, specialty foods items, and jams and jellies. As the growing season continues, additional farmers and vendors will bring their products to the market.
Additional June Community PODs
Schenectady County is holding regular free COVID-19 vaccine PODs 6-days a week in June. All PODs are open to walk-ins – no appointment needed.
Proof of age is required. For individuals younger than the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for vaccination, either verbally while accompanying the minor to the vaccination appointment, or by phone at the time of the vaccination appointment. If the minor is 12-15 years old, they must arrive with a parent or guardian OR they need to bring another adult caregiver who has a signed designation (consent form) from the parent or guardian and the parent/guardian must be available by phone.
