Last night, the Schenectady County Legislature celebrated staff members marking milestone service anniversaries, from 10 to 35 years, at an employee appreciation dinner hosted by Glendale Home.

“Glendale Home is more than just a facility; it’s a place where people who have lived, worked, and raised families can continue aging in the community they call home,” said Gary Hughes, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature. “We are deeply grateful for the care, compassion, and dedication the staff at Glendale Home provide each day, and we are thankful for their unwavering commitment to the health and safety of our residents.”

In 2014, Schenectady County opened the state-of-the-art Glendale Home to provide residents with a place to age in their own community, ensuring continued care at a time when many municipal-run nursing homes were being sold or closed.
