Schenectady County to Host Citizen Preparedness Training Class (Postponed)

Schenectady County is hosting a free Citizen Preparedness training class for residents in Schenectady on Saturday, October 12, 2024. The class is conducted by the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (NYSDHSES) and will teach participants how to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters and other emergencies.

“Schenectady County is committed to ensuring that our community is prepared for any emergency,” said Gary Hughes, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature. “By attending this training, residents can gain the knowledge they need to protect themselves and their families in times of disaster.”

Date: Saturday, October 12, 2024

Time: 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Location: McChesney Room at the Hon. Karen B. Johnson Library, 99 Clinton Street in Schenectady

Residents are encouraged to sign up and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to learn practical steps for staying safe during a crisis. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
