Events Taking Place at Mont Pleasant, Scotia, Rotterdam, Niskayuna and Quaker Street Libraries
Schenectady County will distribute a total of over 5,000 free at-home COVID tests to residents on a first-come, first-served basis at 5 locations starting at 10am on Saturday, February 5, 2022. The distribution events will take place at the Mont Pleasant, Scotia, Rotterdam, Niskayuna and Quaker Street libraries, which are part of Schenectady County’s Public Library system.
Schenectady County received the test kits from New York State and has distributed previous shipments to local schools, municipalities, daycare providers, shelters and volunteer fire departments throughout the County.
“We’re happy to provide residents with these kits because testing is an important resource as we continue to navigate through the pandemic,” said Anthony Jasenski, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature. “If you or someone you know has been exposed to COVID or has symptoms we encourage you to get tested – by using these at-home test kits or at our community testing site. Knowing your status can help slow the spread of the virus in our community.”
