Schenectady County Public Health Services (SCPHS) will host a COVID-19 booster shot vaccine POD at SUNY Schenectady on December 11, 2021. Due to an increase in demand for COVID-19 vaccines, appointments are required and are available at www.schenectadycounty.com/COVID19/vaccine or by calling (518) 388-4355.
SCPHS is also offering an extended vaccine POD on Monday, December 13, 2021 at SUNY Schenectady from 1-7pm. Appointments are required for booster shots.
“Schenectady County is working to make it easier for anyone who is eligible to get a COVID-19 booster vaccine,” said Schenectady County Legislator Michelle Ostrelich, Chair of the Health & Human Services Committee. “If you are 18 years of age or older, and received a second dose of Moderna or Pfizer at least 6 months ago or received a Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 2 months ago we encourage you to get a booster shot.”

Schenectady County has administered over 39,600 COVID-19 vaccine doses since December of 2020 at community PODs held throughout the County.
Volunteer for the Medical Reserve Corps
SCPHS uses MRC volunteers, medical and non-medical, to help with the County’s vaccine efforts. As eligibility has increased for primary and booster shots, more volunteers are needed. People interested in signing up for the MRC can visit https://apps.health.ny.gov/pub/servny/.
