Capacity Increased to 50 Percent
The Schenectady County Public Library (SCPL) will increase in-person hours at all open branches starting on Monday, May 3. In-person capacity increased to 50 percent on May 1, and computers will still be available on a limited basis and by appointment only.
Patrons are required to wear a mask, maintain physical distancing, and comply with all County procedures, which may include having their temperature taken and signing in for the purpose of contact tracing.
“Positivity rates in our county have remained low, allowing us to expand capacity and in-person hours at all of our open library branches,” said Schenectady County Legislator Cathy Gatta, Vice Chair of the Education & Libraries Committee. “While COVID-precautions are still in effect, we hope that this expansion allows more of our residents to enjoy all our libraries have to offer.”
