Schenectady County Board of Elections Reminds Voters to Plan their Vote

Early Voting for the 2024 June Primary Election Begins on Saturday, June 15

The Schenectady County Board of Elections (SCBOE) would like to remind voters to plan their vote for the June 2024 Primary Election, which is for Schenectady County Family Court Judge.

Primary Elections in Schenectady County:

Taking place in all towns, villages, and city:

  • Democratic Primary
  • Conservative Primary

“Early Voting is a convenient way for residents to vote before Election Day, when lines tend to be longer,” said Board of Elections Commissioners Laura Fronk and Darlene Harris. “Registered Schenectady County voters are able to cast their ballot at any of the four designated Early Voting polling sites located throughout the county, when it’s most convenient for them.”

To be eligible to vote in a primary, you must live in the municipality where the primary election is taking place AND be an enrolled member in the specific party that has a primary election. Early Mail and Absentee Ballots

Early Mail and absentee ballot applications and instructions on how to return your ballot are available at eletions.ny.gov/request-ballot. All applications are due to the Board of Elections by June 15, 2024.

All eligible voters can vote at any of the early voting locations within the County. In Schenectady County, Early Voting locations are:

Monday, June 17, 2024 – 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.                                     

Tuesday, June 18, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.                                      

Wednesday, June 19, 2024 – 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, June 20, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.                

Friday, June 21, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 22, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 23, 2024 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.         

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Polling sites are open from 6:00 am - 9:00 pm.
