Parking & Road Closures
Street closures will occur and traffic rerouted in downtown:
- State Street between Broadway and Lafayette Street and Jay Street in front of City Hall will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14. During these hours, State Street traffic will be diverted along Broadway (for eastbound traffic) and to Lafayette Street (for westbound traffic);
- State Street between Lafayette Street and Nott Terrace will be closed to all traffic between 9:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.; and
- There will be NO PARKING on State Street between Broadway and Nott Terrace and Jay Street in front of City Hall, and on Clinton and Barrett streets between State and Franklin, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14. Cars parked in violation of this restriction will be ticketed and/or towed.
Some CDTA bus routes will also be altered. Visit www.cdta.org/service-advisories for a list of re-routes on Friday.
Park Schenectady lots, including the Schenectady Municipal Parking Garage, will be available for parking free of charge all day Friday, July 14.
