Schenectady County and the Schenectady County Council of Veterans Organizations announced the schedule of events taking place throughout the County leading up to and on Memorial Day.

“Memorial Day is a time to come together and reflect on the service and sacrifices of our military heroes, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Schenectady County Legislator Holly Vellano, Chair of the Military Affairs & Veterans Committee. “Please take a moment to honor their memory and pay tribute to their bravery and dedication to our country and community.”

“Our local veterans and community groups have poured their hearts into organizing a meaningful array of events for Memorial Day,” said George Sykala, President of the Schenectady County Council of Veterans Organizations. “We encourage members of the community to attend an event to show their support to those who have served and to pay tribute to those who are no longer with us.”
