Registration Deadline Approaching for Schenectady County’s Pedal-Paddle-Run Triathalon

Schenectady County’s Pedal-Paddle-Run, will kick-off event for the County’s 2024 event season at Aqueduct Park in the Town of Niskayuna on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. Online registration will be open until Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Day-of registration will be available starting at 7:00 a.m.

The ”Not Your Typical Triathlon” Pedal-Paddle-Run is a timed event that includes approximately 7 miles of biking, approximately 2 miles of kayaking/canoeing and a 5k run. Participants must be 16 years of age or older and may compete as individuals or as part of a relay team.

“Join us for our Pedal-Paddle-Run triathlon at Aqueduct Park in Niskayuna,” said Schenectady County Legislator Cathy Gatta, Chair of the Tourism & Special Events Committee. “It’s a fun way to explore our beautiful outdoors and make lasting memories with friends and family. Sign up today as an individual or as a team to be part of this unique experience.”

To make the race more accessible, Schenectady County partners with local businesses to offer rental kayaks during the registration process on a first-come, first-served basis. More race information, including a list of local businesses who rent kayaks, course maps, rules and fees, and a link to register online are available at https://www.schenectadycountyny.gov/ppr. Registration is $45 per participant. Every participant will receive a race hat and all finishers will receive a medal.
