Schenectady County Public Health Services (SCPHS) is partnering with New Choices Recovery Center and the Schenectady Police Department to host a free naloxone training and information session for community members on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Schenectady County has seen a troubling surge in overdoses recently, highlighting the need for increased awareness and intervention in the community.
“Knowing how to administer naloxone can mean the difference between life and death in the fight against opioid overdoses,” said Schenectady County Legislator Michelle Ostrelich, Chair of the Health, Housing & Human Services Committee. “This training can help empower members of our community with knowledge and life-saving resources that can make a difference when it matters most.”
Date: Wednesday, September 6, 2023
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: McChesney Room at the Hon. Karen B. Johnson (Central) Library, 99 Clinton Street in Schenectady
