Veterans and the Public are Invited to Attend
The Schenectady County Legislature invites you to the Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Schenectady County Vietnam Veterans Memorial at SUNY Schenectady. The ceremony recognizes the bravery and commitment of those who served in Vietnam, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and gratitude.
National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed each year on March 29 to commemorate the withdrawal of the last American combat troops from Vietnam in 1973. According to the most recent U.S. Census Bureau estimate, over 7,000 Veterans call Schenectady County home, 2,440 of which served during the Vietnam War.
