Providing temporary, safe, and nurturing homes for children is the essential role of foster parents, while adoptive parents dedicate their lives to raising children with love, care, and stability in a permanent home. 

The upcoming information session provides you with all the information you need to understand the process to becoming a foster/adoptive parent. It is the first step families take towards becoming certified foster/adoptive parents with the Schenectady County Department of Social Services.
